Vocabulary:
|
sen [= you]
ne? [= what?]
bakıyorsun [= you are
looking]
present
continuous from bakmak [= to see; to look; to stare]
ne bakıyorsun? [= what are you
looking at? what are you staring at?]
be [interj.= hey you; what the
heck etc.]
bakacağım [= I will look; I will be looking]
future
simple from bakmak [= to see; to look; to stare]
allah allah [interj.=

bakmıyorum [= I am not
looking; I am not staring]
present
continuous negative from bakmak [= to see; to look; to stare]
birşey bakmıyorum [= I am not looking/staring at
anything]
Tip:
Although Ayşegül says "birşey bakmıyorum", the correct way to say this, grammatically speaking, would be "birşeye bakmıyorum" since the suffix "-e" at the end of "birşey" gives the meaning of "at" [birşeye= at something / at anything]. However, both are considered as acceptable.
Tip:
The
verb "bakmak" can also mean [= to take care of; to look
after]. See below the examples in the section "Extra Phrases".
