Vocabulary:

bak [=look]
(imperative) from bakmak= to look; to see

sana [to you]

bir [=one; a/an]

şey [=thing]

bir şey [=something]

diyeceğim [=I will say; I will tell]
(future simple) from demek= to say; to tell

sana bir şey diyeceğim [=literally: I will tell you something]

rahat [=both a noun & adjective: comfort; ease / comfortable]

ol [=be]
(imperative) from olmak= to be; to become

rahat ol! [=take it easy; chill out]. Also: Make yourself comfortable

Tip
The imperative verb “ol” is used in many Turkish expressions:

1. dikkatli ol! [=be careful; take care; watch your step]
2. sabırlı ol! [=be patient]
3. sakin ol! [=be calm; calm down]
4. mutlu ol! [=be happy]
5. sağ ol or sağol! [=thank you]. The literal meaning of this is “be healthy”, a colloquial and very common way of expressing thanks in Turkish.
