Vocabulary:
pardon [=excuse me; I beg your pardon]
gelsene [from gelmek= to come].
[-sene] added to the stem of the verb gets us the equivalent of "Why don't you come?"; "Do come!"; or "Come on!". "Gel" on the other hand is the imperative form meaning [=come!].
It can be a friendly suggestion or an expression of impatience depending on your tone of voice as in the examples below.
ne? [=what?]
işin? [=your work; your job]. iş [=work; job]
var [=existent; there is/there are]
senin [=your; yours]
burada [=over here]. This is commonly spelled and pronounced as "burda".
beni [=me]
mi [mi, mı, mu, mü] are question suffixes that are added to make questions.
takip ediyorsun [from takip etmek= to follow; to chase; to track someone]
yoksa [=I wonder if; or what]
estağfurullah [here this means= of course not; don't say that]. The literal meaning of this word is "may God grant me mercy". Its meaning differ according to the situation it is used in. In general, it means "not at all" or "don't mention it" and is sort of a more casual way of saying "you're welcome." I personally hear it often in two situations. When I apologize for being late, the other speaker would immediately utter "estağfurullah"; and secondly when I express my thanks and appreciation.
