286: I am waiting for the driver

Gelsene sen de!
= Do come, too!

Yok, ben gelemem. Şoförü bekliyorum.
No, I can't come. I am waiting for the driver.

Vocabulary:

gelsene [from gelmek= to come]. You can add [-sene] to the stem of the verb to make informal, friendly suggestions and get the equivalent of "why don't you come?", "do come" or "come on why don't you come?". You can also use the main verb "gelsene" at the end of the sentence: "Sen de gelsene!".
Note that the same expression could be an utterance of impatience depending on your tone of voice.

sen [=you]

de [=too; as well; also]

yok [=no]

ben [=I]

gelemem [from gelmek= to come].
gelemem [=I can't come]; while gelmem [=I don't come].

şoför [=driver]

bekliyorum [from beklemek= to wait]. I am waiting.
şoförü bekliyorum [=I am waiting for the driver]
